About Me

I am a network automation engineer, specialising in Cisco networking technologies and with a first-class honours networking degree. I currently work full-time in Leeds for one of the world’s biggest bookmakers. Using the Agile methodology, I am part of a small team that collaborates on network automation projects.

I created this space as a place to document my personal development. Moving from a traditional network engineer using the CLI to manually configure one device at a time, to a network automation engineer utilising tools such as Ansible, Git and Python programming.

Other Experience

06/2015 08/2015	Junior Network Security Analyst William Hill Over the course of this summer I worked alongside and shadowed the network operations team at William Hill. I gained knowledge of the day to day responsibilities that a network security engineer has, the tools they use for network monitoring and was exposed to firewall technologies such as Cisco ASA and Check Point.
